After Shave General Information:
Shaving leaves your skin with seen and unseen nicks, cuts, scraps and abrasions that are exposed to the environment and open to infections. After Shave usually contains an antibacterial antiseptic to help damaged skin and prevent infection.

Normally alcohol is one of the main antibacterial antiseptics in After Shave and may cause an initial stinging sensation that some complain about when aftershave is first applied. The stinging sensation is an indication of the unseen damage caused by shaving.

This unpleasant stinging sensation comes from the antiseptic going to work sterilizing your skin from most all germs and bacteria that could cause infection and will cause the skin to tighten and close small nicks, cuts, scraps and abrasions.

Note care should be taken if applying After Shave around areas of sensitive skin.

Even thought After Shave contains antibacterial antiseptics it should not be used to treat larger cuts or wounds especially if bleeding is present or used to treat any existing skin infections, use recommend products for treating these areas or seek proper medical attention.

Dispense only enough Joop Cologne After Shave into the palm of one hand to cover an intended area of your skin. Using your fingers on small areas or your palms and hands on larger areas, apply the After Shave using circular motions until your skin absorbs it all.

If you choose to follow up with the application of a lotion or moisturizer allow the After Shave several minutes to work before any lotion or moisturizer is applied. If using an unscented lotion or moisturizer and you want to booster your fragrance scent, try mixing a small amount of your Joop Cologne After Shave with the lotion or moisturizer and then apply it.
